DHL Prague project underway...
Steve Wade is running a 6th European project for DHL in Prague, January 2010. 35 senior managers will work on a 2 day project at the Hvodzy Centre for young people with learning difficulties as part of the well established annual Leadership Challenge Programme. The project will be an opportunity for delegates to put classroom learning about teams and leadership into practice. The work will include a demanding selection of practical refurbishment tasks and a huge in-the-moment management challenge. The programme is run in conjunction with Steve Pritchard & Russell Harlow from cross-cultural leadership experts TMA.
Psychometrics for top Law firm
Carter Wade is running a series of development days for teams from the EMEA marketing division at top Law firm DLA Piper. Using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator as the central tool, the events are designed to increase team effectiveness and customer service capability in this incredibly fast- moving and sophisticated Business Development environment. The teams are now enjoying exploring the applications of Jung's theory of Personality type to the 21st century professional services environment!
DHL Youth Projects
Carter Wade ran a series of successful youth projects with Logistics giant DHL in October as part of a modular Leadership programme for managers in DHL Industrial. Seven youth groups from The Princes Trust and statutory youth services visited DHL sites across the Midlands to learn about the industry & the opportunities it offers. A range of activities were offered giving insight into warehousing operations & logistics provision and the training & career development offered to staff. Participants aged 16 - 20 put a lot of effort in and greatly enthused the DHL teams about local community engagement.
DHL staff were particularly moved by the experiences of young asylum seekers from Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia, and by the stories of unemployed youngsters from rural and urban locations in the Midlands region. At the end of a two-day event designed to bring to life DHL Industrial's Leadership framework, mixed groups of staff fed back to DHL Senior Management and hugely impressed the Executive team with the passion and power of their experience.
Well done to everyone involved in this brilliant initiative and many thanks to both DHL and the youth leaders for making it possible.
